More than 300 works by 70 international women artists are investing the LaM for an extraordinary exhibition.
Singulières reveals artists who have long remained in the shadows: anonymous creators, self-taught, classified as outsiders or freed from all categories. Inhabited works, abundant forms, intimate visions or gestures of revolt tell trajectories where creation becomes a space for emancipation and transformation.
Supported by the exceptional L'Aracine collection and numerous loans, the exhibition offers a sensitive journey that questions the place of women in art history, while revealing works of rare visual strength.

Plus de 300 œuvres réalisées par 70 artistes femmes internationales investissent le LaM pour une exposition hors du commun.
Singulières dévoile des artistes longtemps restées dans l’ombre : créatrices anonymes, autodidactes, classées dans l’art brut ou affranchies de toutes catégories. Œuvres habitées, formes foisonnantes, visions intimes ou gestes de révolte racontent des trajectoires où la création devient un espace d’émancipation et de transformation.
Portée par l’exceptionnel fonds L’Aracine et de nombreux prêts, l’exposition propose une traversée sensible qui interroge la place des femmes dans l’histoire de l’art, tout en révélant des œuvres d’une force visuelle rare.

Meer dan 300 werken van 70 internationale vrouwelijke kunstenaars investeren The Lam voor een buitengewone tentoonstelling.
Singular onthult kunstenaars die lang in de schaduw zijn gebleven: Anonieme scheppers, zelfonderwezen, ingedeeld in ruwe kunst of bevrijd van alle categorieën. Bewoonde werken, overvloedige vormen, intieme visioenen of gebaren van opstand vertellen trajecten waar de schepping een ruimte van emancipatie en transformatie wordt.
Met steun van het uitzonderlijke L'Aracine fonds en talrijke leningen stelt de tentoonstelling een gevoelige kruising voor die de plaats van vrouwen in de kunstgeschiedenis in twijfel trekt, terwijl werken van zeldzame visuele kracht worden onthuld.
