Dating from the early 19th century, the property includes a French garden and a mansion. After inheriting it in 1943, the architect René Guichemerre continued to transform the park. In 1960, he replaced the house with a dwelling including his agency. This building is inspired by the American architectures of Frank Lloyd Wright and Richard Neutra, and allows to free the main perspective leading to a body of water. Upon the death of its designer in 1988, the site was bequeathed to the city. It has more than 450 plant species, 330 listed fungi, 60 mosses, 40 birds, 200 insects... conducive to the discovery and initiation of the public. This lush vegetation is structured by channels, basins, trails, and stone remains forming a mosaic of places with varied atmospheres where water is very present. Finally, an organic vegetable garden allows schoolchildren to discover forgotten vegetables.
