Mentioned from 672, the royal castle of Collioure redraws in its walls the working seven centuries. In the XIIIth and XIVth centuries, he(it) shelters a residence of the kings of Majorca, ephemeral kingdom of the Mediterranean Sea in Middle Ages. The sovereigns of Spain and from the XVIth century the kings of France will transform the summer palace into citadel.

Toegang

By car: on D914 connecting(binding) Perpignan with Cerberus, to take outing(exit) n°14 then to continue on D114 towards Collioure. Set off of Madeloc, the road of Argelès then the street of the Republic up to the place(square) of May 8th, 1945\. Car park: pay parking lot in 100 m. Come by bus: line 400 (Perpignan - Cerberus) of the bus in 1 € the set up by the department.
