For the 11th year, the village of archaeology also settles at the MuMo Museum of Mouldings! Inaugurated in 1899 at the University of Lyon, the Moulding Museum is now located in a former industrial space in the 3rd district. Initially dedicated to the teaching of art history and archaeology, it is today also a place for mediation and dissemination of knowledge open on the city. His exceptional collection brings together nearly 1600 plaster casts, faithful and life-size copies of famous round bosses, bas-reliefs and statuettes. It reflects the evolution of Western sculpture from archaic Greece to the 19th century. A selection of 200 casts is currently presented along a thematic path.
