Casimir draws from a tale imagined by Grégoire Solotareff. The story begins with an encounter that makes a whole village of elves talk. How did Casimir and his family get here? Then, why did they leave so quickly? The answer floated in the air, as cold as a winter night: they were pushed outside. On stage, three actors manipulate figurines and lend their voices to them. In this ingenious forest setting – the hollow of an apple tree that has become a miniature hamlet – the company unfolds a story where humor rubs shoulders with disorder. Behind the fantasy, this fable evokes hospitality, but also human weaknesses such as jealousy or exclusion reflexes.

Casimir puise dans un conte imaginé par Grégoire Solotareff. L’histoire commence par une rencontre qui fait jaser tout un village de lutins. Comment Casimir et sa famille sont-ils arrivés là ? Puis, pourquoi sont-ils repartis si vite ? La réponse flotte dans l’air, aussi glacée qu’une nuit d’hiver : ils ont été poussés dehors. Sur scène, trois comédiens manipulent des figurines et leur prêtent leurs voix. Dans ce décor forestier ingénieux – le creux d’un pommier devenu hameau miniature – la compagnie déploie un récit où l’humour côtoie le trouble. Derrière la fantaisie, cette fable évoque l’accueil, l’hospitalité, mais aussi les faiblesses humaines comme la jalousie ou les réflexes d’exclusion.

Casimir baseert zich op een verhaal van Grégoire Solotareff. Het verhaal begint met een ontmoeting die praat maakt over een heel dorp van elfen. Hoe zijn Casimir en zijn familie daar gekomen? Waarom vertrokken ze dan zo snel? De reactie drijft in de lucht, zo ijzig als een winternacht: Ze werden naar buiten geduwd. Op het podium manipuleren drie acteurs beeldjes en lenen ze hun stem. In deze ingenieuze bosrijke omgeving – de holte van een appelboom die in een miniatuur gehucht is veranderd – ontvouwt het bedrijf een verhaal waarin humor en problemen samenkomen. Achter fantasie roept deze fabel welkom op, gastvrijheid, maar ook menselijke zwakheden zoals jaloezie of uitsluitingsreflexen.
