Baron Ludwig von Sinclair (1680–1738), a Swedish nobleman of Scottish origin and chamberlain at the royal court of Poland, was Lord of Oberbronn from 1710 to 1738.

The convent of the Sisters of the Très Saint-Sauveur is located in the picturesque village of Oberbronn, in the heart of the regional park of the Northern Vosges.
The religious congregation, founded in Niederbronn in 1849 by Élisabeth Eppinger — in religion Mother Alphonse Marie —, experienced a very rapid expansion. Due to lack of space, in 1857 it acquired the castle of Oberbronn where lived until his death the Count of Lochheim, to install the novitiate and later make this place the current motherhouse of the congregation. This place is today the heart of this great international body, present in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America.
The foundress, Mother Alphonse Marie, was beatified by Cardinal Becciu on 9 September 2018 in the cathedral of Strasbourg. An important relic of the blessed is visible at the oratory.
The convent also has a hotel of 80 rooms (145 beds) with private bathrooms, and welcomes individuals, families, groups and corporate seminars.
