The first mentions of the Protestant church date from 1326\. Initially Catholic, it became a Protestant cult in 1554\. Until 1686, it served as a place of worship for the two parishes of the commune, such as the church of Tieffenbach. Often altered over time, the current Saint-Jacques church dates from the 15th century. Inside the religious building there is an organ from 1825, made by Michel Stiehr, as well as the tomb of Christian Schweitzer, great-grandfather of Doctor Albert Schweitzer.
