Eingebettet im Herzen der elsässischen Weinberge, ist die Stadt Turckheim für ihre Weine, ihr architektonisches Erbe und ihre Geschichte bekannt.
Ab 1713 war Turckheim auch eine bedeutende Papierstadt. Die Dynastien Schwindenhammer und Scherb bauten zwei Papierproduktionsstätten auf und brachten so im Laufe der Jahre finanziellen Wohlstand in die Stadt Brand. Diese Industriegeschichte, in der die Unternehmensführer zugleich Bürgermeister, Förderer oder einflussreiche Personen waren, endet am 25. November 2011, an der Schwelle zu ihrem 300-jährigen Bestehen.
Die Geschichte der Papierherstellung in Turckheim ist auch eng mit seiner Weinbaugeschichte verbunden. Die Stadt verdankt insbesondere Robert Schwindenhammer, dem Leiter der gleichnamigen Papierfabrik, die Gründung ihrer genossenschaftlichen Kellerei, der Turckheimer Kellerei, im Jahr 1955.
Vom 19. bis 27. September 2026 wird die Stadt Turckheim diese beiden Geschichten spiegeln, die ihre Verbindung zwischen dem Ufer des Mühlbachs und den Hängen des Brand gefunden haben.
Eine thematische Ausstellung geht auf die großen Papierjahre von Turckheim zurück, anhand von historischen Dokumenten, Alltagsgegenständen und Archivfotografien. Um noch weiter zu gehen, werden auch verschiedene Pressemaschinen vorgestellt.
Es ist auch das Handwerk des Weinbaus, das hervorgehoben wird: die Werkzeuge, die Entwicklung der Arbeit des Winzers oder auch die Atmosphäre der Weinlese von früher, eine spannende Reise zur Entdeckung derer, die Turckheim zu einer anerkannten Weinbaustadt machen.

Nestled in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards, the town of Turckheim is renowned for its wines, its architectural heritage and its history.
From 1713, Turckheim was also an important paper mill town. The Schwindenhammer and Scherb dynasties developed two paper production sites and thus, over the years, gave financial ease to the city of Brand. This industrial history, where business leaders were also mayors, patrons or influential people, will end on November 25, 2011, at the dawn of its 300 years.
The history of Turckheim paper is also closely linked to its wine history. The city owes in particular to Robert Schwindenhammer, head of the paper mill of the same name, the creation of his cooperative cellar, the Cave de Turckheim, in 1955.
From 19 to 27 September 2026, the city of Turckheim will mirror these two stories that have found their junction between the banks of the Muhlbach and the slopes of the Brand.
A thematic exhibition will look back at the great paper-making years of Turckheim, through period documents, everyday objects and archival photographs. To go further, different press machines will also be presented.
It is also the profession of the vine that will be highlighted: the tools, the evolution of the work of the winemaker or the atmosphere of the vintage of yesteryear, an exciting journey to discover those who make Turckheim a recognized wine city.

A partire dal 1713, Turckheim è anche un'importante città cartaria. Le dinastie Schwindenhammer e Scherb svilupparono due stabilimenti di produzione della carta, dando così alla città di Brand una certa facilità finanziaria nel corso degli anni. Questa storia industriale, in cui gli imprenditori erano anche sindaci, mecenati o persone di influenza, si fermerà il 25 novembre 2011, all'alba dei suoi 300 anni.
La storia della produzione di carta di Turckheim è anche strettamente legata alla sua storia vinicola. La città deve in particolare a Robert Schwindenhammer, alla guida dell'omonima fabbrica di carta, la creazione della sua cantina cooperativa, la Cave de Turckheim, nel 1955.
Dal 19 al 27 settembre 2026, la città di Turckheim rifletterà queste due storie che hanno trovato il loro punto d'incontro tra le rive del Muhlbach e i pendii del Brand.
Una mostra a tema ripercorre i grandi anni della cartiera di Turckheim attraverso documenti d'epoca, oggetti quotidiani e fotografie d'archivio. Per andare oltre, verranno presentate anche diverse macchine da stampa.
È anche il mestiere della vigna che sarà messo in evidenza: gli strumenti, l'evoluzione del lavoro del viticoltore o ancora l'atmosfera delle vendemmie d'altri tempi, un viaggio emozionante alla scoperta di coloro che fanno di Turckheim una città vinicola riconosciuta.

A partir de 1713, Turckheim est également une importante cité papetière. Les dynasties Schwindenhammer et Scherb développent deux sites de production de papier et confèrent ainsi, au fil des ans, une aisance financière à la cité du Brand. Cette histoire industrielle, où les chefs d’entreprise étaient également maires, mécènes ou personnes d’influence, s’arrêtera le 25 novembre 2011, à l’aube de ses 300 ans.
L’histoire papetière de Turckheim est aussi intimement liée à son histoire viticole. La Ville doit notamment à Robert Schwindenhammer, à la tête de la Papeterie du même nom, la création de sa Cave coopérative, la Cave de Turckheim, en 1955.
Du 19 au 27 septembre 2026, la Ville de Turckheim va mettre en miroir ces deux histoires qui ont trouvé leur jonction entre le rives du Muhlbach et les pentes du Brand.
Une exposition thématique reviendra sur les grandes années papetières de Turckheim, à travers documents d’époque, objets du quotidien et photographies d’archives. Pour aller plus loin, différentes machines de presse seront également présentées.
C’est aussi le métier de la vigne qui sera mis en avant : les outils, l’évolution du travail du vigneron ou encore l’ambiance des vendanges d’antan, un passionnant voyage à la découverte de ceux et celles qui font de Turckheim une cité viticole reconnue.

A partir de 1713, Turckheim es también una importante ciudad papelera. Las dinastías Schwindenhammer y Scherb desarrollaron dos centros de producción de papel y, con el paso de los años, dieron a la ciudad de Le Brand una ventaja financiera. Esta historia industrial, en la que los jefes de empresa eran también alcaldes, mecenas o personas influyentes, se detendrá el 25 de noviembre de 2011, a las puertas de sus 300 años.
La historia papelera de Turckheim también está íntimamente ligada a su historia vitivinícola. La ciudad debe en particular a Robert Schwindenhammer, al frente de la papelería del mismo nombre, la creación de su bodega cooperativa, la Cave de Turckheim, en 1955.
Del 19 al 27 de septiembre de 2026, la ciudad de Turckheim reflejará estas dos historias que han encontrado su unión entre las orillas del Muhlbach y las laderas del Brand.
Una exposición temática volverá sobre los grandes años papeleros de Turckheim, a través de documentos de época, objetos cotidianos y fotografías de archivo. Para ir más lejos, también se presentarán diferentes máquinas de prensa.
Es también el oficio de la viña que se pondrá en relieve: las herramientas, la evolución del trabajo del viticultor o incluso la atmósfera de las vendimias de antaño, un viaje apasionante para descubrir a quienes hacen de Turckheim una ciudad vitivinícola reconocida.
