The history(story) of the library(bookcase) of Toul is an already long history(story) since it goes back up(raises) see you soon the two centuries. The library(bookcase) was officially created in 1832, in a wing of the old(former) Palace of Evêques (currently the City council). It is installed(settled) in the current building(ship) only since 1993.
As for most local libraries(bookcases), its creation is bound(connected) to revolutionary confiscations. The pit(core) of the old(former) fund(collection) comes from fourteen religious libraries(bookcases) listed at the time of French Revolution. It goes without saying that losses due to pillage were considerable(significant) and that only 1500 volumes establish(constitute) this pit(core).
