Vier Jahrzehnte lang hat Gérard Boulfray das Wesen der Lebensmomente durch seine Bilder eingefangen. Verliebt in Batz-sur-Mer und die Halbinsel, hat sich der Künstler dort endgültig niedergelassen, um es zu seinem künstlerischen Refugium zu machen.
Seine intensiven und farbenfrohen Bilder sind Augenblicke, die mit den Emotionen des Malers festgehalten werden.
Gérard Boulfray hat die Landschaften, traditionellen Feste und das Erbe von Batz-sur-Mer ausführlich dargestellt.
Mit seinem einzigartigen und charakteristischen Stil hat er die Reize und die Schönheit der Kleinen Stadt des Charakters durch Hunderte von Werken dargestellt, um dem gebauten Erbe, aber auch dem immateriellen kulturellen Erbe der Gemeinde zu danken: seine lange Geschichte als Salz- und Sumpfgebiet sowie seine bretonischen Wurzeln.
Eine bunte Figur, die die Erinnerung an einen schelmischen und leidenschaftlichen Blick hinterlässt. Im Dezember 2025 verstorben, würdigt die Gemeinde ihn mit einer posthumen Ausstellung einer Auswahl seiner Werke.

For four decades, Gérard Boulfray has captured the essence of life’s moments through his paintings. Having fallen in love with Batz-sur-Mer and the peninsula, the artist has definitely settled there to make it his artistic refuge.
Intense and full of life colors, his paintings are moments captured with the emotions of the painter.
Gérard Boulfray has abundantly represented the landscapes, traditional festivals and heritage of Batz-sur-Mer.
With his unique and characteristic style, he has represented the charms and beauty of the Petite Cité de Caractère through hundreds of works, thus giving thanks to the built heritage but also to the intangible cultural heritage of the town: its long salt-producing and salt-producing history and its Breton roots.
A colorful character, he leaves the memory of a mischievous and passionate look. Disappeared in December 2025, the town pays tribute to him through a posthumous exhibition of a selection of his works.

Pendant quatre décennies, Gérard Boulfray a capturé l’essence des moments de vie à travers ses toiles. Tombé amoureux de Batz-sur-Mer et de la presqu’île, l’artiste s'y est définitivement installé afin d'en faire son refuge artistique.
Intenses et aux couleurs pleines de vie, ses tableaux sont des instants capturés avec les émotions du peintre.
Gérard Boulfray a abondamment représenté les paysages, fêtes traditionnelles et le patrimoine de Batz-sur-Mer.
Avec son style unique et caractéristique, il a représenté les charmes et la beauté de la Petite Cité de Caractère au travers des centaines d’œuvres, il a ainsi rendu grâce au patrimoine bâti mais aussi au patrimoine culturel immatériel de la commune : sa longue histoire salicole et paludière et ses racines bretonnes.
Personnage haut en couleurs, il laisse le souvenir d’un regard malicieux et passionné. Disparu en décembre 2025, la commune lui rend hommage à travers une exposition posthume d’une sélection de ses oeuvres.
