Die Ausstellung „Genfer Cafés: das Leben selbst“ bietet eine ungewöhnliche Begegnung zwischen zwei lokalen Künstlern. Was haben sie gemeinsam? Ein und dasselbe Thema: die Cafés, die sie jeweils mit ihren eigenen künstlerischen Mitteln beleuchten. Während der Schriftsteller Georges Haldas diese Orte in literarischer Form analysiert, dokumentiert die Fotografin Danny Gignoux sie visuell. So stehen Texte und Bilder nebeneinander in zwei Werken, die auf den ersten Blick keinen Zusammenhang zu haben scheinen, abgesehen von dem gemeinsamen Thema.
Eine Führung, die den Zusammenhang zwischen dem Medium Fotografie und dem Schreiben beleuchtet, geleitet von Lucas Arpin, Kulturvermittler der Genfer Bibliothek, und Léonie Rose Marion, Fotografin und Leiterin der Kulturvermittlung am Centre de la photographie Genève.

The exhibition “Geneva Cafés: Life Itself” presents an unexpected collaboration between two local artists. What do they have in common? The same theme: cafés, explored through their respective media. While writer Georges Haldas dissects these places through literature, photographer Danny Gignoux documents them visually. Thus, text and images coexist in two bodies of work that, at first glance, seem to have no connection other than a shared subject.
A guided tour exploring the connection between the medium of photography and writing, led by Lucas Arpin, cultural mediator at the Geneva Library, and Léonie Rose Marion, photographer and head of cultural mediation at the Geneva Center for Photography.

L’exposition «Cafés genevois: la vie même» propose une rencontre incongrue entre deux artistes locaux. Leur point commun? Une même thématique: celle des cafés, abordés à travers leurs médias respectifs. Si l’écrivain Georges Haldas décortique ces lieux sous une forme littéraire, la photographe Danny Gignoux les documente de manière visuelle. Ainsi cohabitent textes et images, dans deux travaux qui, de prime abord, semblent n’avoir aucun lien, si ce n’est celui d’un sujet partagé.
Une visite commentée explorant le lien entre médium photographique et écriture, donnée par Lucas Arpin, médiateur culturel de la Bibliothèque de Genève et Léonie Rose Marion, photographe et responsable de la médiation culturelle au Centre de la photographie Genève.
