Peyraux is built in a wooded valley, halfway down the hill of Poujoulou that dominates the surroundings, in a site inscribed since 1984\. The castle (15th-18th centuries) has been listed as a historical monument since 1948, the commons since 1974\. The choice of his situation probably corresponds to the proximity of many sources. The visitor first discovers, after having passed the entrance porch of the castle, the main terrace, furnished with lindens cut in curtains, boxwood cut in topiary, charmilles and pyramidal charms.
