Drei Frauen sind mit ihren Ausweisen in die Polizeistation eingetreten, um das Museum zu betreten. Eine vierte kam rein und ging vorbei, ohne ihre Karte zu geben. Am nächsten Tag entdeckt die Museumsleiterin beim Eintreffen im Museum den toten Körper einer von ihnen, in der Halle der technischen und wissenschaftlichen Polizei neben den Sitzen eine auf einem der Sitze angebrachte Browning-Pistole aus dem Jahr 1900. Auf dem Boden liegen Brillen und eine gebrochene Ferse.
Wer ist diese junge Frau? Was ist mit ihr passiert? Ein Mord? Aber wer und warum? Selbstmord?
