Am Eingang des Ardennenmassivs ist Charleville-Mézières eine städtische Einheit mit einer reichen industriellen und eisenbahnlichen Vergangenheit. Charleville-Mézières, der erste Produktionsstandort des Départements, verlor in den Jahrzehnten nach dem Ende der Trente Glorieuses wichtige Fabriken (Deville, Gailly, Grandry, La Macérienne, Lefort, Manestamp...) sowie die Rotondes und Werkstätten von Mohon.
Ebenso viele Industriebrachen, die schmerzhafte Zeugen der Deindustrialisierung und eine Herausforderung für die Gemeinde Carolo waren. Ihre Behandlung und Transformation sind Sonderfälle, die auf unterschiedlichen Wegen unter Beteiligung verschiedener öffentlicher und privater Akteure stattgefunden haben. Auf diese Weise kann Charleville-Mézières als eines der Laboratorien des industriellen Erbes in Frankreich betrachtet werden.

At the entrance of the Ardennes massif, Charleville-Mézières is an urban entity with a rich industrial and railway past. The department’s leading manufacturing hub, Charleville-Mézières lost important factories (Deville, Gailly, Grandry, La Macérienne, Lefort, Manestamp...) and the rotundas and workshops of Mohon in the decades following the end of the Trente Glorieuses.
So many industrial wastelands that were painful witnesses to deindustrialization and a challenge for the Carlopolitan municipality. Their treatment and transformation are all special cases that have followed different paths with the involvement of various public and private actors. This is why Charleville-Mézières can be considered one of the laboratories of industrial heritage in France.

All'ingresso del massiccio delle Ardenne, Charleville-Mézières è un'entità urbana che ha un ricco passato industriale e ferroviario. Primo polo manifatturiero del dipartimento, Charleville-Mézières ha perso importanti fabbriche (Deville, Gailly, Grandry, La Macérienne, Lefort, Manestamp...) e le rotonde e officine di Mohon nei decenni successivi alla fine dei Trenta Gloriosi.
Tante aree industriali dismesse che furono dolorosi testimoni della deindustrializzazione e una sfida per il comune di La Carotte. Il loro trattamento e la loro trasformazione sono tutti casi particolari che hanno seguito percorsi diversi con il coinvolgimento di vari attori pubblici e privati. È per questo che Charleville-Mézières può essere considerata uno dei laboratori del patrimonio industriale in Francia.

À l'entrée du massif de l'Ardenne, Charleville-Mézières est une entité urbaine qui a un riche passé industriel et ferroviaire. Premier pôle manufacturier du département, Charleville-Mézières a perdu des usines importantes (Deville, Gailly, Grandry, La Macérienne, Lefort, Manestamp...) et les rotondes et ateliers de Mohon dans les décennies qui ont suivi la fin des Trente Glorieuses.
Autant de friches industrielles qui furent des témoins douloureux de la désindustrialisation et un défi pour la municipalité carolopolitaine. Leur traitement et leur transformation sont autant de cas particuliers qui ont suivi des cheminements différents avec l'implication de divers acteurs publics et privés. C'est en cela que Charleville-Mézières peut être considérée comme un des laboratoires du patrimoine industriel en France.

A la entrada del macizo de las Ardenas, Charleville-Mézières es una entidad urbana que tiene un rico pasado industrial y ferroviario. Primer polo manufacturero del departamento, Charleville-Mézières perdió fábricas importantes (Deville, Gailly, Grandry, La Macérienne, Lefort, Manestamp...) y las rotondes y talleres de Mohon en las décadas que siguieron al final de los Treinta Gloriosos.
Tantos yacimientos industriales que fueron dolorosos testigos de la desindustrialización y un desafío para el municipio de Carlomopolita. Su tratamiento y transformación son casos particulares que han seguido trayectorias diferentes con la participación de diversos actores públicos y privados. En este sentido, Charleville-Mézières puede ser considerada como uno de los laboratorios del patrimonio industrial en Francia.
