In 1945, Maurice Sarrazin founded his company, Le Grenier de Toulouse, housed under a mansard. His troupe, the first born of theatrical decentralization, is recognized as a Dramatic Center in 1949\. The Théâtre national de Toulouse is one of the first links in theatrical decentralization. The Grenier de Toulouse will only be truly established in the city with the construction of the Sorano Theater in 1964\. It is directed by Jacques Rosner (1985-1998), Jacques Nichet (1998-2007) then Laurent Pelly and Agathe Mélinand (2008-2017).
