Guided tour of the former Priory des Moulineaux with volunteer guides from our association "Sauvons les Moulineaux" who will present the history of the site and its very diverse uses from the monastery in the 12th century to the tin leaf factory in the 19th century and an unusual place for youth festivals in the village of Poigny in the 20th century.

In the forest "Yvelines" at the gates of the Eure & Loir, founded in 1160, the Priory of Moulineaux is one of the last three witnesses of the monasteries of the importnat Order of Grandmont. In a protected and totally preserved natural environment, it was in turn a monastery, transformed into a Renaissance castle protected by a protected enclosure of moats and towers, high place of hunting then manufacture in the nineteenth century. Rare curiosity in the enclosure was built a Renaissance nymphea whose remains have reached us. Site with enchanting charm in a remarkable nature 1.5 km from the exit of the charming village of Poign-la-Forêt, for the last time before its restoration the Priory of Les Moulineaux and the team of the association Sauvons les Moulineaux welcome you on the occasion of the 2022 Heritage Days on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 from 9am to 7pm.
