Located in the heart of Saint-Clar-de-lomagne, one of the most beautiful bastides of the Gers, the Museum of Public School houses a rich collection of school and educational materials. The building was originally the first school in the village, whose layout has been modified in favour of a museum route that respects the nature of the site and the originality of the collection. Each notebook, each object, each image that you will discover throughout the permanent exhibition has been integrated into an original scenography. Several stratagems, such as reconstructions, sound accompaniments, galleries of portraits, period photos were used to place the various elements of the collection in their historical or human context. By combining the modernism of quality museum equipment and respect for the authenticity of this Gers heritage, the Musée de l'École publique in Saint-Clar stands out as an example of museum success.
