Um das Schloss ab 1836 vor dem Verfall zu bewahren, hat das Département Haute-Vienne ihm nach und nach neue Nutzungen zugewiesen. Diese Neuerfindung ermöglichte es dieser bemerkenswerten Architektur, die Zeit zu überstehen und 1985 das heutige Museum zu werden.

From 1836, to preserve the castle from its degradation, the department of Haute-Vienne gradually assigned new uses. This reinvention has allowed this remarkable architecture to go through time and become, in 1985, the current museum.
