Queen Marie Leszczyńska decided, on the death of her father, to build a convent at Versailles. She called on Richard Mique, originally from Lorraine, who will propose three projects for the establishment. The last one will be chosen by Mrs. Adélaïde. It is the reflection of an architectural audacity and a philosophical reflection around religion and teaching. The chapel is the sumptuous jewel in its preserved case from the end of the 18th century.
