Mathys Pariente ist einer der beiden Bewohner des Programms Les Affluentes im Maison Ligure de l'Image.
Geboren in Saint-Nazaire, wuchs Mathys Pariente auf einem Gebiet industrieller Landschaften zwischen Land und Meer auf. Schon früh entwickelt er eine Praxis, die mit der Erkundung verbunden ist, sowohl physisch als auch visuell, genährt durch Klettern und Fotografie. Ausgebildet an den Beaux-Arts von Le Mans und dann von Tours, wo er 2025 seinen DNSEP Art erhielt, entwickelt er heute eine im Feldforschung verankerte Forschung, die sich mit den Landschaften am Rande sowie den Spuren und Erzählungen beschäftigt, die sie durchziehen. seine Arbeit hinterfragt die Beziehungen zwischen Territorium, Erinnerung und Erbe. Während seines Aufenthalts wird Mathys eine fotografische Arbeit aus dem Fotofonds des Inventardienstes und des Kulturerbes der Region Centre-Val de Loire entwickeln. Dieses Projekt fügt sich in den Rahmen des 200-jährigen Jubiläums der Fotografie ein und bietet einen Dialog zwischen kulturellem Erbe und zeitgenössischer Schöpfung. Der Künstler wird einen einzigartigen Blick auf die Bilder, ihre Erinnerung und ihre Übertragung werfen.
Die Unterstützung von jungen Absolventen auf ihrem beruflichen Weg ist eine wichtige Herausforderung für Kunst- und Designhochschulen. So soll das von TALM konzipierte interregionale Wohnsystem Les Affluentes dieser wesentlichen Aufgabe gerecht werden. Die Affluentes werden in Partnerschaft mit öffentlichen und privaten Einrichtungen der drei TALM-Gebiete (Tours, Angers, Le Mans) entwickelt und getragen.

Born in Saint-Nazaire, Mathys Pariente grew up in a territory of industrial countryside between land and sea. Very early, he developed a practice related to exploration, both physical and visual, nourished by climbing and photography. Trained in the fine arts of Le Mans and then Tours, where he obtained his DNSEP art in 2025, he now develops research rooted in field investigation, attentive to marginal landscapes, traces, and the stories that run through them. his work questions the relationships between territory, memory and heritage. His practice weaves photography, archives and installation to bring out fragile forms inhabited by memory. Between living presence and the silence of places, he seeks areas of tension to document and inhabit before disappearing.
During his residency, Mathys will develop a photographic creation work from the photographic fund of the Inventory and Heritage Service of the Centre-Val de Loire Region. This project is part of the bicentenary of photography and proposes a dialogue between heritage heritage and contemporary creation. The artist will take a singular look at images, their memory and their transmission.
Supporting young graduates in their professional integration is a major challenge for art and design colleges. Thus, the interregional residence system Les Affluentes imagined by TALM intends to meet this essential mission. Nato a Saint-Nazaire, Mathys Pariente cresce in un territorio di campagne industriali tra terra e mare. Molto presto, sviluppa una pratica legata all'esplorazione, sia fisica che visiva, alimentata dall'arrampicata e dalla fotografia. Questo progetto si inserisce nell'ambito del bicentenario della fotografia e propone un dialogo tra eredità patrimoniale e creazione contemporanea. Né à Saint-Nazaire, Mathys Pariente grandit dans un territoire de campagnes industrielles entre terre et mer. Très tôt, il développe une pratique liée à l’exploration, à la fois physique et visuelle, nourrie par l’escalade et la photographie. Formé aux beaux-arts du Mans puis de Tours, où il a obtenu son DNSEP art en 2025, il développe aujourd’hui une recherche ancrée dans l’enquête de terrain, attentif aux paysages en marges, aux traces et aux récits qui les traversent. son travail interroge les relations entre territoire, mémoire et héritage. Sa pratique tisse photographie, archives et installation pour faire émerger des formes fragiles, habitées par la mémoire. Entre présence vivante et silence des lieux, il cherche des zones de tensions à documenter et habiter avant disparition.
Pendant sa résidence, Mathys développera un travail de création photographique à partir du fonds photographique du Service de l’Inventaire et du Patrimoine de la Région Centre-Val de Loire. Ce projet s’inscrit dans le cadre du bicentenaire de la photographie et propose un dialogue entre héritage patrimonial et création contemporaine. L’artiste portera un regard singulier sur les images, leur mémoire et leur transmission.
