Professional meetings of photography in Turkey with France PhotoBook and the French Institute of Turkey - Istanbul

On the occasion of the 212 Photography Istanbul festival, the French Institute of Turkey, in partnership with France PhotoBook, is offering a special time dedicated to photobooks and professional meetings between French and Turkish actors in photographic publishing.
Bringing together publishers, photographers, booksellers, curators and image professionals, this program aims to strengthen the bonds of complicity and cooperation between France and Turkey around the photography book, which has become an essential space for contemporary creation. France PhotoBook brings together some thirty independent French publishing houses throughout France and defends the book of photography as an editorial field in its own right, at the crossroads of art, visual research and transmission.
The photo book is now a major tool for the dissemination of works, the international circulation of artists and the development of contemporary photographic scenes. Through exhibitions, editorial presentations and professional meetings, this project highlights the vitality of publishing practices and opens a space for exchange between creators, publishers and the public.
