In einer Ausstellung, die die Geschichte der Fotografie hinterfragt, erschien es uns natürlich, einen ihrer grundlegenden Prozesse zu entdecken. Wir werden das Papier beschichten, Objekte und Negative verlegen und die Sonne ihre Arbeit machen lassen. Jede Ziehung wird einzigartig sein - und das Ergebnis, nie völlig vorhersehbar.
Die Rückkehr zu diesen historischen Praktiken ist keine Nostalgie. Es ist eine Art, durch die Geste zu verstehen, was die Fotografie schon immer war: ein Schreiben durch das Licht.
Keine Erfahrung erforderlich. Ich bin nur neugierig.

In an exhibition that questions the history of photography, it seemed natural to us to put our hands into one of its founding processes. We will paint the paper, place objects and negatives, let the sun do its work. Each draw will be unique—and the outcome, never entirely predictable.
Returning to these historical practices is not nostalgia. It is a way to understand, through gesture, what photography has always been: writing by light.
No experience required. Just curiosity.

In una mostra che interroga la storia della fotografia, ci è sembrato naturale mettere le mani su uno dei suoi processi fondatori. Rivestiremo la carta, posizioneremo oggetti e negativi, lasceremo che il sole faccia il suo lavoro. Ogni estrazione sarà unica - e il risultato, mai del tutto prevedibile.
Tornare a queste pratiche storiche non è nostalgia. È un modo per capire, attraverso il gesto, ciò che la fotografia è sempre stata: una scrittura attraverso la luce.
Non è richiesta esperienza. Solo curiosità.

Dans une exposition qui interroge l'histoire de la photographie, il nous a semblé naturel de mettre les mains dans l'un de ses procédés fondateurs. Nous enduirons le papier, poserons des objets et des négatifs, laisserons le soleil faire son travail. Chaque tirage sera unique — et le résultat, jamais tout à fait prévisible.
Revenir à ces pratiques historiques, ce n'est pas de la nostalgie. C'est une façon de comprendre, par le geste, ce que la photographie a toujours été : une écriture par la lumière.
Aucune expérience nécessaire. Juste de la curiosité.

Volver a estas prácticas históricas no es nostalgia. Es una manera de entender, por el gesto, lo que la fotografía siempre ha sido: una escritura por la luz.
