Das Chaos, das mir das Leben gibt. Atlas eines imaginären Landes ist das Gewinnerwerk des Swiss Life 4-Hände-Preises 2026-2027, 7. Auflage. Dieser in Frankreich einzigartige Kunstpreis wird von der Swiss Life-Stiftung vergeben. Er zeichnet alle zwei Jahre das Projekt der gemeinsamen und originellen Kreation eines Fotografen und eines Komponisten aus.
" Wir entwickeln mit vier Händen eine sensorische Durchquerung des Exils, in der Bild und Musik zu Sprachen werden, die über Grenzen hinweg zirkulieren können. Das Projekt hat seine Wurzeln in El Callao, Venezuela, einem Gebiet, das von den antillischen Migrationsbewegungen geprägt ist, die mit der Goldgewinnung verbunden sind. Der Karneval, das Calypso und das Kreolische tragen die lebendige Erinnerung an diese Zirkulationen, die heute mit einem der größten zeitgenössischen Exodus in Spannung gesetzt sind, da fast 7,9 Millionen Venezolaner ihr Land verlassen haben.
Das Projekt gliedert sich in vier Kapitel, die aus drei Territorien - Guadeloupe, Trinidad und Tobago, Französisch-Guayana - und einem fantasierten Territorium geschrieben wurden: Venezuela. Jeder bildet einen Raum der Suche und der Wiederverbindung, wo wir in den Klängen, den Körpern und den Ritualen gesucht haben, was uns noch mit unserem Land verbindet, gehalten im Gedächtnis und in der Empfindung.
Diese Verschiebungen zeichnen eine sensible Kartierung, die aus Echos, Korrespondenzen und Verschiebungen besteht. Zwischen Nähe und Distanz, Präsenz und Abwesenheit erforscht das Projekt, was bleibt, sich verändert oder bewegt, wenn man außerhalb seines Landes lebt. So schlägt er eine offene Form vor, in der sich die Erfahrung des Exils durch Fragmente zusammensetzt, zwischen Vorstellungskraft und Erinnerung."

Chaos that gives me life. Atlas d'un pays imaginé is the winner of the Prix Swiss Life à 4 mains 2026-2027, 7th edition. This artistic prize, unique in France, is awarded by the Swiss Life Foundation. Every two years, it rewards the original cross-creation project of a photographer and a composer.
"We develop, with four hands, a sensory journey of exile, where image and music become languages able to circulate beyond borders. The project takes root in El Callao, Venezuela, a territory shaped by Antillean migrations linked to gold mining. Carnival, calypso and Creole carry the living memory of these circulations, today put in tension with one of the greatest contemporary exoduses, with nearly 7.9 million Venezuelans having left their country.
The project unfolds in four chapters, written from three territories—Guadeloupe, Trinidad and Tobago, French Guiana—and a fantasy territory: Venezuela. Each constitutes a space of research and reconnection, where we went to seek, in sounds, bodies and rituals, what still connects us to our country, held in memory and sensation.
These movements draw a sensitive cartography, made of echoes, correspondences and offsets. Between proximity and distance, presence and absence, the project explores what persists, transforms or moves when one lives outside of one’s land. He thus proposes an open form, where the experience of exile is recomposed through fragments, between imagination and memory."

Il caos che mi dà la vita. Atlante di un paese immaginato è l'opera vincitrice del Premio Swiss Life a 4 mani 2026-2027, settima edizione. Questo premio artistico, unico in Francia, è conferito dalla Fondazione Swiss Life. Esso premia ogni due anni il progetto di creazione incrociata e originale di un fotografo e di un compositore.
" Sviluppiamo, a quattro mani, un attraversamento sensoriale dell'esilio, dove immagine e musica diventano linguaggi capaci di circolare oltre i confini. Il progetto affonda le sue radici a El Callao, in Venezuela, un territorio modellato dalle migrazioni caraibiche legate allo sfruttamento dell'oro. Il carnevale, il calypso e il creolo portano la memoria viva di queste circolazioni, oggi messe in tensione con uno dei più grandi esodi contemporanei, con quasi 7,9 milioni di venezuelani che hanno lasciato il loro paese.
Il progetto si sviluppa in quattro capitoli, scritti da tre territori - Guadalupa, Trinidad e Tobago, Guyana francese - e un territorio fantasioso: il Venezuela. Ognuno costituisce uno spazio di ricerca e riconnessione, dove siamo andate a cercare, nei suoni, i corpi e i rituali, ciò che ci collega ancora al nostro paese, mantenuto nella memoria e nella sensazione.
Questi spostamenti disegnano una cartografia sensibile, fatta di echi, corrispondenze e spostamenti. Tra vicinanza e distanza, presenza e assenza, il progetto esplora ciò che persiste, si trasforma o si sposta quando si vive fuori dalla propria terra. Propone così una forma aperta, dove l'esperienza dell'esilio si ricompone attraverso frammenti, tra immaginario e memoria."

Ce prix artistique, unique en France, est attribué par la Fondation Swiss Life. Il récompense tous les 2 ans le projet de création croisée et originale d’un.e photographe et d’un.e compositeur.trice.
" Nous développons, à quatre mains, une traversée sensorielle de l’exil, où image et musique deviennent des langages capables de circuler au-delà des frontières. Le projet prend racine à El Callao, au Venezuela, territoire façonné par les migrations antillaises liées à l’exploitation aurifère. Le carnaval, le calypso et le créole y portent la mémoire vivante de ces circulations, aujourd’hui mises en tension avec l’un des plus grands exodes contemporains, avec près de 7,9 millions de Vénézuéliens ayant quitté leur pays.
Le projet se déploie en quatre chapitres, écrits depuis trois territoires — Guadeloupe, Trinidad et Tobago, Guyane française — et un territoire fantasmé : le Venezuela. Chacun constitue un espace de recherche et de reconnexion, où nous sommes allées chercher, dans les sons, les corps et les rituels, ce qui nous relie encore à notre pays, maintenu dans la mémoire et la sensation.
Ces déplacements dessinent une cartographie sensible, faite d’échos, de correspondances et de décalages. Este premio artístico, único en Francia, es otorgado por la Fundación Swiss Life. Recompensa cada dos años el proyecto de creación cruzada y original de un fotógrafo y un compositor.
" Desarrollamos, a cuatro manos, una travesía sensorial del exilio, donde la imagen y la música se convierten en lenguajes capaces de circular más allá de las fronteras. El proyecto tiene sus raíces en El Callao, Venezuela, un territorio moldeado por las migraciones antillogistas vinculadas a la explotación aurífera. El carnaval, el calypso y el criollo llevan allí la memoria viva de estas circulaciones, hoy puestas en tensión con uno de los mayores éxodos contemporáneos, con cerca de 7,9 millones de venezolanos que han abandonado su país.
El proyecto se desarrolla en cuatro capítulos, escritos desde tres territorios -Guadalupe, Trinidad y Tobago, la Guayana Francesa- y un territorio fantasiado: Venezuela.
