Im Rahmen des Zweihundertjahrs der Fotografie wollte die Photoquinzaine Photographique Nantaise (QPN) den Begriff "Sammlung" hinterfragen, nicht als bloße Anhäufung von Bildern, sondern als eine Geste des Blicks, der Auswahl und des Gedächtnisses.
Zu diesem Anlass haben wir die Fotografen Jean François Mollière und Patrick Miara eingeladen, ihre Arbeiten erneut in der Galerie zu zeigen. Beide entwickeln Praktiken, bei denen das Bild, sei es fotografisch oder mental, in Logiken von Serien, Variationen und Entnahmen eingebettet ist. Ihr Ansatz beschäftigt sich mit dem, was Sammlung ausmacht: nicht nur Formen zu behalten, sondern auch zu organisieren, zu verschieben und wieder zu aktivieren.
Zwischen der Fragmentierung des Realen und der empfindlichen Neuzusammensetzung verlängern ihre Werke die Geschichte der Fotografie, indem sie sie in ein größeres Gebiet verschieben, wo die Sammlung zu einem Raum für den Austausch von Bildern und Erfahrungen wird.

As part of the Bicentenary of Photography, the Quinzaine Photographique Nantaise (QPN) wanted to question the notion of "collection", not as a simple accumulation of images, but as a gesture of gaze, selection and memory.
On this occasion, we invited the photographers Jean François Mollière and Patrick Miara to show their work once again in the gallery. Both develop practices where the image, whether photographic or mental, is part of a logic of series, variations and samples. Their approach engages a reflection on what constitutes collection: not only to preserve, but also to organize, move and reactivate forms.
Between fragmentation of reality and sensible recomposition, their works extend the history of photography by moving it to an enlarged territory, where the collection becomes a space for the circulation of images and experiences.
This exhibition is part of the journey Photography in Art Galleries, organized by Professional Committee of Art Galleries.

Nell'ambito del Bicentenario della Fotografia, la Quinzaine Photographique Nantaise (QPN) ha voluto interrogarsi sulla nozione di "collezione", non come semplice accumulo di immagini, ma come gesto di sguardo, selezione e memoria.
In questa occasione, abbiamo invitato i fotografi Jean François Mollière e Patrick Miara a mostrare ancora una volta le loro opere nella galleria. Entrambi sviluppano pratiche in cui l'immagine, sia fotografica che mentale, si iscrive in logiche di serie, di variazioni e di prelievi. Il loro approccio implica una riflessione su ciò che fa collezione: non solo conservare, ma anche organizzare, spostare e riattivare le forme.
Tra frammentazione del reale e ricomposizione sensibile, le loro opere prolungano la storia della fotografia spostandola verso un territorio allargato, dove la collezione diventa uno spazio di circolazione delle immagini e delle esperienze.
Questa mostra si inserisce nel percorso Fotografia nelle gallerie d'arte, organizzato dal Comitato Professionale delle Gallerie d'Arte.

À cette occasion, nous avons invité les photographes Jean François Mollière et Patrick Miara à montrer une nouvelle fois leurs travaux dans la galerie. Tous deux développent des pratiques où l’image, qu’elle soit photographique ou mentale, s’inscrit dans des logiques de séries, de variations et de prélèvements. Leur approche engage une réflexion sur ce qui fait collection : non pas seulement conserver, mais organiser, déplacer et réactiver des formes.
Entre fragmentation du réel et recomposition sensible, leurs œuvres prolongent l’histoire de la photographie en la déplaçant vers un territoire élargi, où la collection devient un espace de circulation des images et des expériences.

En el marco del Bicentenario de la Fotografía, la Quincena Fotográfica Nantaise (QPN) ha querido cuestionar la noción de "colección", no como simple acumulación de imágenes, sino como un gesto de mirada, de selección y de memoria.
En esta ocasión, hemos invitado a los fotógrafos Jean François Mollière y Patrick Miara para mostrar una vez más sus trabajos en la galería. Ambos desarrollan prácticas en las que la imagen, ya sea fotográfica o mental, se inscribe en lógicas de series, variaciones y toma de muestras. Su enfoque implica una reflexión sobre lo que hace colección: no solo conservar, sino organizar, mover y reactivar formas.
Entre la fragmentación de lo real y la recomposición sensible, sus obras prolongan la historia de la fotografía desplazándola hacia un territorio ampliado, donde la colección se convierte en un espacio de circulación de imágenes y experiencias.
Esta exposición se enmarca dentro del recorrido Fotografía en las galerías de arte, organizado por el Comité Profesional de Galerías de Arte.
