LIFE-SIZE - Robert de profil Company
A giant model, puppets, and characters filmed on the spot: a visually stunning production… at a child’s eye level.
Marie Charbonnier
A child at play is a giant. The child creates the world—his or her own world. When an adult bursts in, that world vanishes instantly, and the child becomes once again… a tiny being.
This back-and-forth between the scales of childhood forms the backbone of *Grandeur nature*, a wordless performance of exceptional visual artistry that explores the full range of theatrical craftsmanship and model-making—the large-scale reproduction of a dollhouse that comes to life through a meticulous video installation is magnificent. At the helm is the Robert de profil theater company, which has enjoyed a string of successes for over fifteen years and continues to innovate in the field of theater for young audiences.
