I Will Always Be Looking For You – A Queer Anthology on Arab Art is published by Haven for Artists under the direction of Yasmine Rifaii & Nadim Choufi. It brings together the work of 31 artists from thirteen Arabic-speaking countries, as well as literary contributions by 24 authors from all over the region and its diaspora. The anthology crosses poetry, essays, fictions and experimental writing – each text entering into direct dialogue with the work it accompanies. Published by Haven for Artists – a feminist cultural organization founded in Beirut by Dayna Ash – this major publication brings together intergenerational artistic voices to broaden the definition of queerness in the Arab world: not as a fixed identity, but as a generating force, a method, a rupture, a refusal.
The presentation of the book I Will Always Be Looking For You – A Queer Anthology on Arab Art by Dayna Ash is part of بِأنفاسِنا نَستَمر Through Breath We Continue : a cooperation project between the Lips Festival and the Beirut Art Center for the co-production and support of interdisciplinary projects. Awarded the Mediterranean Season 2026 label, this initiative provides for the selection of three performances during production, a residency period, support, and a public presentation at the Lips #3 Festival— Breath. Co-curated by Elena Biserna, Ibrahim Bala and Nour Sokhon, this project emerges from a common interest in breath and voice as platforms of life, relationship and interdependence. In a context crossed by ecological, political and economic crises, it reaffirms the desire and the material and symbolic right to breathe and speak – to exist. The selected artists, Dayna Ash, Shatr (Sarah Huneidi, Theresa Sahyoun and Nadine Makarem) and Nour Sokhon, propose narratives anchored in the present, but open to imaginaries of reconstruction, reparation and justice. Faced with a present polluted and made suffocating by massive destruction, they claim air and audibility as common goods, both biological and political, environmental and social. Between poetry, spoken word, images and music, their projects make speaking and performance a space of care and collective breathing.

I Will Always Be Looking For You - A Queer Anthology on Arab Art è un libro pubblicato da Haven for Artists sotto la direzione di Yasmine Rifaii & Nadim Choufi. Riunisce il lavoro di 31 artisti provenienti da tredici paesi arabofoni, nonché contributi letterari di 24 autori provenienti da tutta la regione e dalla sua diaspora. L'antologia attraversa poesia, saggi, fiction e scrittura sperimentale - ogni testo entra in dialogo diretto con l'opera che accompagna. Pubblicato da Haven for Artists - un'organizzazione culturale femminista fondata a Beirut da Dayna Ash - questa importante pubblicazione riunisce voci artistiche intergenerazionali per ampliare la definizione di queerness nel mondo arabo: non come identità fissa, ma come una forza generatrice, un metodo, una rottura, un rifiuto.
La presentazione del libro Sarò sempre alla tua ricerca - Un'antologia di arte araba queer da Dayna Ash fa parte di Attraverso il respiro continuiamo : un progetto di cooperazione tra il Festival Lips e il Beirut Art Center per la co-produzione e l'accompagnamento di progetti interdisciplinari. Etichettata come Stagione Mediterranea 2026, questa iniziativa prevede la selezione di tre spettacoli in corso di produzione, un tempo di residenza, un supporto e una presentazione pubblica al Festival Lips #3 - Soffio. Co-curata da Elena Biserna, Ibrahim Nehme e Nour Sokhon, questo progetto nasce da un interesse comune per la respirazione e la voce come piattaforme di vita, relazione e interdipendenza. In un contesto attraversato da crisi ecologiche, politiche ed economiche, riafferma il desiderio e il diritto materiale e simbolico di respirare e parlare - di esistere. Gli artisti selezionati, Dayna Ash, Shatr (Sarah Huneidi, Theresa Sahyoun e Nadine Makarem) e Nour Sokhon, propongono racconti radicati nel presente, ma aperti verso immaginari di ricostruzione, riparazione e giustizia. Di fronte a un presente inquinato e soffocato da distruzioni di massa, esse rivendicano l'aria e l'udibilità come beni comuni, sia biologici che politici, ambientali e sociali. Tra poesia, parole parlate, immagini e musica, i loro progetti fanno della parola e della performance uno spazio di cura e di respiro collettivo.

Etiquetada como Temporada Mediterránea 2026, esta iniciativa prevé la selección de tres actuaciones en producción, un tiempo de residencia, un apoyo y una presentación pública en el Festival Lips #3 - Soplo. Co-curado por Elena Biserna, Ibrahim Nehme y Nour Sokhon, este proyecto surge de un interés común por la respiración y la voz como plataformas de vida, relación e interdependencia. En un contexto atravesado por crisis ecológicas, políticas y económicas, reafirma el deseo y el derecho material y simbólico de respirar y hablar - de existir. Los artistas seleccionados, Dayna Ash, Shatr (Sarah Huneidi, Theresa Sahyoun y Nadine Makarem) y Nour Sokhon, proponen relatos anclados en el presente, pero abiertos a imaginarios de reconstrucción, reparación y justicia. Frente a un presente contaminado y asfixiante por destrucciones masivas, reivindican el aire y la audibilidad como bienes comunes, tanto biológicos como políticos, ambientales y sociales. Entre la poesía, el spoken word, las imágenes y la música, sus proyectos hacen que el discurso y la actuación sean un espacio de cuidado y respiración colectiva.
