Discover this historic castle whose central body was built in 1775 by Edmé-Germain Villetard, equerry of King Louis XVI, wine merchant, then mayor of Auxerre after the Revolution. From 1804, the castle changed owners many times. Around 1872, a winter garden was attached to the castle on the south side. In 1905, the castle was enlarged by the construction of an imposing wing on the north side. In 1943, the SNCF acquired the estate to install a school and a summer camp. To this end, the winter garden was replaced in 1948 by the construction of a second wing on the south side, in harmony with the central body. From 1973 to 2021, the castle was transformed into an IME (medical-educational institute).
