Mediterrane bioklimatische Architektur wird wieder in den Vordergrund gestellt
Der Hafen von Antibes wurde kürzlich einer beispielhaften architektonischen Sanierung unterzogen, die auf die Aufwertung des mediterranen Erbes und die ökologische Integration ausgerichtet ist. Das Projekt wird von der Werkstatt Philippe Prost im Rahmen des Programms "Gallice 21" durchgeführt.
Das Gebäude Nord des Hafens, 1968 vom Architekten Guillaume Gillet erbaut, wurde vollständig saniert. Dieses emblematische Gebäude in der Bucht von Fontaine du Pin verkörpert die Prinzipien der bioklimatischen mediterranen Architektur:
• Dachterrasse und Dachvorsprünge zur Begrenzung der Sonnenexposition
• Begrünte Terrassen für natürliche Belüftung und Licht
• Helle Farben reflektieren die Wärme
• Öffnende Aufsätze zum Ablassen von Warmluft und zur Regulierung des Raumklimas
Ein ökologischer und kultureller Ansatz
Die Sanierung konzentrierte sich auf den Einsatz biobasierter Materialien und die Begrünung von Außenbereichen:
• Holzfaserdämmungen
• Holzarbeiten aus Lärche
• Böden aus Linoleum
• Schaffung eines trockenen Gartens auf den Terrassen mit über 10 000 mediterranen Pflanzen, die sich dem sommerlichen Wasserstress anpassen, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Villa Thuret-Inria
Die obere Terrasse der Werft ist nun für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich und wurde in einen Aussichtspunkt mit Blick auf den Golf von Napoule und die Inseln von Lérins umgewandelt.
Eine zeitgenössische Vision des Hafenerbes
Das architektonische Projekt ist Teil einer umfassenderen Reflexion über die Patrimonialisierung von Jachthäfen. Bei einem Studientag im April 2025, der in Verbindung mit der Ausstellung Philippe Prost, la mémoire vive organisiert wurde, wurde der Hafen von Gallice als Beispiel einer erfolgreichen Umgestaltung präsentiert, die Erinnerung des 20. Jahrhunderts und Herausforderungen des 21. Jahrhunderts in Einklang bringt.
Dieses Projekt ist ein Beispiel für den Willen, den Hafen wieder mit der Stadt zu verbinden und offene, zugängliche und umweltfreundliche Räume zu schaffen.

A Mediterranean bioclimatic architecture put back in the spotlight
Port Gallice in Antibes has recently undergone an exemplary architectural rehabilitation, focused on the enhancement of the Mediterranean heritage and ecological integration. The project is carried by the workshop Philippe Prost as part of the program "Gallice 21".
The Nord du port building, built in 1968 by architect Guillaume Gillet, has been completely rehabilitated. This emblematic building, located in the cove of the Fontaine du Pin, embodies the principles of Mediterranean bioclimatic architecture:
• Roof terrace and roof overhangs to limit solar exposure
• Vegetated patios promoting natural ventilation and light
• Light colors to reflect heat
• Openable cabinets to purge hot air and regulate the indoor climate
An ecological and heritage approach
The rehabilitation focused on the use of biosourced materials and on the greening of outdoor spaces:
• Wood fiber insulation
• Larch carpentry
• Linoleum floors
• Creation of a dry garden on the terraces, with more than 10,000 Mediterranean plants adapted to summer water stress, in partnership with Villa Thuret-Inria
The high terrace of the shipyard is now accessible to the public, transformed into a panoramic viewpoint over the Gulf of Napoule and the Lérins Islands.
A contemporary vision of the port heritage
The architectural project is part of a broader reflection on the heritage of marinas. During a study day in April 2025, organized in connection with the exhibition Philippe Prost, la mémoire vive, Port Gallice was presented as an example of successful reconversion, reconciling 20th century memory and 21st century challenges.
This project illustrates a desire to reconnect the port to the city by creating open, accessible and environmentally friendly spaces.

Un'architettura bioclimatica mediterranea in primo piano
Il Porto Gallice ad Antibes è stato recentemente oggetto di una riqualificazione architettonica esemplare, incentrata sulla valorizzazione del patrimonio mediterraneo e sull'integrazione ecologica. Il progetto è portato avanti dall'atelier Philippe Prost nell'ambito del programma "Gallice 21".
L'edificio Nord del porto, costruito nel 1968 dall'architetto Guillaume Gillet, è stato completamente riabilitato. Questo edificio emblematico, situato nella baia della Fontaine du Pin, incarna i principi dell'architettura bioclimatica mediterranea:
• Tetto-terrazza e sporgenze del tetto per limitare l'esposizione solare
• Cortili verdi che favoriscono la ventilazione naturale e la luce
• Colori chiari per riflettere il calore
• Imposte di lavoro per eliminare l'aria calda e regolare il clima interno
Un approccio ecologico e patrimoniale
La riabilitazione ha messo l'accento sull'uso di materiali biologici e sulla vegetazione degli spazi esterni:
• Isolamento in fibra di legno
• Infissi in larice
• Pavimenti in linoleum
• Creazione di un giardino secco sulle terrazze, con oltre 10.000 piante mediterranee adatte allo stress idrico estivo, in collaborazione con la Villa Thuret-Inria
La terrazza superiore del cantiere navale è ora accessibile al pubblico, trasformata in un belvedere panoramico sul golfo di Napoule e sulle isole di Lérins.
Una visione contemporanea del patrimonio portuale
Il progetto architettonico si inserisce in una riflessione più ampia sulla patrimonializzazione dei porti turistici. In una giornata di studio nell'aprile 2025, organizzata in connessione con la mostra Philippe Prost, la memoria vitale, il porto di Gallice è stato presentato come un esempio di riconversione riuscita, conciliando memoria del XX secolo e sfide del XXI secolo.
Questo progetto illustra la volontà di ricollegare il porto alla città, creando spazi aperti, accessibili e rispettosi dell'ambiente.

Une architecture méditerranéenne bioclimatique remise à l’honneur
Le Port Gallice à Antibes a récemment fait l’objet d’une réhabilitation architecturale exemplaire, centrée sur la valorisation du patrimoine méditerranéen et l’intégration écologique. Le projet est porté par l’atelier Philippe Prost dans le cadre du programme “Gallice 21”.
Le bâtiment Nord du port, construit en 1968 par l’architecte Guillaume Gillet, a été entièrement réhabilité. Ce bâtiment emblématique, situé dans la crique de la Fontaine du Pin, incarne les principes de l’architecture méditerranéenne bioclimatique :
• Toit-terrasse et débords de toiture pour limiter l’exposition solaire
• Patios végétalisés favorisant la ventilation naturelle et la lumière
• Couleurs claires pour réfléchir la chaleur
• Impostes ouvrantes permettant de purger l’air chaud et de réguler le climat intérieur
Une démarche écologique et patrimoniale
La réhabilitation a mis l’accent sur l’usage de matériaux biosourcés et sur la végétalisation des espaces extérieurs :
• Isolation en fibre de bois
• Menuiseries en mélèze
• Sols en linoléum
• Création d’un jardin sec sur les terrasses, avec plus de 10 000 plantes méditerranéennes adaptées au stress hydrique estival, en partenariat avec la Villa Thuret-Inria
La terrasse haute du chantier naval est désormais accessible au public, transformée en belvédère panoramique sur le golfe de la Napoule et les îles de Lérins.
Une vision contemporaine du patrimoine portuaire
Le projet architectural s’inscrit dans une réflexion plus large sur la patrimonialisation des ports de plaisance. Lors d’une journée d’étude en avril 2025, organisée en lien avec l’exposition Philippe Prost, la mémoire vive, le Port Gallice a été présenté comme un exemple de reconversion réussie, conciliant mémoire du XXe siècle et enjeux du XXIe siècle.

El Port Gallice en Antibes ha sido recientemente objeto de una rehabilitación arquitectónica ejemplar, centrada en la valorización del patrimonio mediterráneo y la integración ecológica. El proyecto es llevado por el taller Philippe Prost en el marco del programa "Gallice 21".
El edificio Nord del puerto, construido en 1968 por el arquitecto Guillaume Gillet, ha sido totalmente rehabilitado. Este emblemático edificio, situado en la cala de la Fontaine du Pin, encarna los principios de la arquitectura mediterránea bioclimática:
• Techo y salientes para limitar la exposición al sol
• Patios verdes que favorecen la ventilación natural y la luz
• Colores claros para reflejar el calor
• Impostes de trabajo para purgar el aire caliente y regular el clima interior
Un enfoque ecológico y patrimonial
La rehabilitación se ha centrado en el uso de materiales de origen biológico y en la vegetación de los espacios exteriores:
• Aislamiento de fibra de madera
• Carpintería de alerce
• Suelos de linóleo
• Creación de un jardín seco en las terrazas, con más de 10.000 plantas mediterráneas adaptadas al estrés hídrico estival, en colaboración con la Villa Thuret-Inria
La terraza alta del astillero está ahora abierta al público, convertida en un mirador panorámico sobre el golfo de Napoule y las islas de Lérins.
Una visión contemporánea del patrimonio portuario
El proyecto arquitectónico se inscribe en una reflexión más amplia sobre la patrimonialización de los puertos deportivos. En una jornada de estudio en abril de 2025, organizada en relación con la exposición Philippe Prost, la memoria viva, el puerto de Gallice fue presentado como un ejemplo de reconversión exitosa, conciliando memoria del siglo XX y desafíos del siglo XXI.
Este proyecto ilustra una voluntad de reconectar el puerto a la ciudad, creando espacios abiertos, accesibles y respetuosos con el medio ambiente.
