Plastic pollution does not spare Lake Geneva. Beyond the abandoned and visible waste, tons of microplastics, most often invisible to the naked eye, have been accumulating for decades. How can this pollution be explained? Where does it come from and in what quantity? What are the dangers? Are there any solutions? This exhibition is entirely dedicated to plastic and microplastic pollution in the largest lake in Western Europe.
The exhibition is composed of 20 panels with scientific explanations on the sources, uses and dangers of microplastics, as well as ways to act. Computer graphics and informative texts are intermingled with the compositions of photographer Nicolas Lieber, who combines archival images with his own shots of the lake.
Exhibition conceived by the Musée du Léman and Oceaneye, with the support of the City of Nyon.
