On the occasion of the Swiss Astronomy Day, the Geneva Astronomical Society (SAG) and the Geneva Museum of the History of Science are organizing an afternoon and an evening of vintage astronomical observation using old telescopes and scopes preserved in the Museum's collections.

In 1772, the first observatory built at the southern end of the Bastion de St-Antoine had as main mission to give the time to the city's watchmakers.
