Search for the Woman: Female Poster Designers [Jeudi midi de l’affiche]

The library is home to one of Switzerland's most famous museums: the Zürich Design Museum. Warning to graphic design fans: this is the place to be!

Paulina Matusiak, 2006

For a variety of socio-political reasons, the history of the poster leaves only a marginal place for women's work. Yet they do exist. Bettina Richter will present posters whose works expand visual representations and bring new narratives into the history of design.

Bettina Richter is a multi-talented art historian. She is currently the curator of the poster collection at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich and the editor of the Poster Collection series. From 2000 to 2005 she taught at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.
