Virtual exhibition: Wild posters, militant memories

Through posters and photographs, the Bibliothèque de Genève, in collaboration with the Archives contestataires, presents the militant graphic production of the 1970s and 1980s.

Bibliothèque de Genève

In the 1970s, a galaxy of protest groups and movements was formed in Geneva. In the wake of the May '68 posters, their members drew, wrote, printed and pasted on the walls of the city calls to reflect and demonstrate. Wild posters, banners brandished during demonstrations, graffiti... Slogans are shouted on different media, text and image invade the public space.

Organisation: Bibliothèque de Genève, in partnership with the Archives contestataires.

Curator: Mirjana Farkas
