Nobel Prize in Literature in 2002, disappeared in 2016, the Hungarian writer Imre Kertész was one of the last survivors of the concentration camps and a great witness of the Shoah. Margaux Eskenazi continues the exploration of her work, essential in understanding the 20th century (but also our future), while offering a reflection on the power of words, Judaism, memory... Mixing as usual stories, testimonies or music, the founder of the company Nova signs a great theatrical fresco on racism, antisemitism and totalitarianism. A piece obviously «addressed to the present time», at the time of the resurgence, in Europe as elsewhere, of the extreme right and its ideas...

Prix Nobel de littérature en 2002, disparu en 2016, l’écrivain hongrois Imre Kertész était l’un des derniers survivants des camps de concentration et un grand témoin de la Shoah. Margaux Eskenazi poursuit l’exploration de son œuvre, essentielle dans la compréhension du XXe siècle (mais aussi de notre avenir), tout en offrant une réflexion sur le pouvoir des mots, le judaïsme, la mémoire... Mêlant comme à son habitude récits, témoignages ou musique, la fondatrice de la compagnie Nova signe une grande fresque théâtrale sur le racisme, l’antisémitisme et le totalitarisme. Une pièce évidemment « adressée au temps présent », à l'heure de la résurgence, en Europe comme ailleurs, de l'extrême-droite et de ses idées…

Nobelprijs Literatuur in 2002, verdwenen in 2016, was de Hongaarse schrijver Imre Kertész een van de laatste overlevenden van de concentratiekampen en een grote getuige van de Shoah. Margaux Eskenazi zet de verkenning van haar werk voort, essentieel voor het begrijpen van de 20e eeuw (maar ook onze toekomst), terwijl ze een reflectie biedt over de kracht van woorden, jodendom, herinnering... Door de gebruikelijke verhalen, getuigenissen of muziek te mixen, tekent de oprichter van het bedrijf Nova een groot theatrale fresco over racisme, antisemitisme en totalitarisme. Een stuk duidelijk «gericht tot de huidige tijd», ten tijde van de heropleving, in Europa en elders, van extreem-rechts en zijn ideeën...
