Jules Adler: Painting under the III Republic
This summer at the Musée de la Piscine, discover the exhibition dedicated to the naturalist painter of the 20th century: Jules Adler.
This painter dedicated part of his work to represent social misery by painting poor Parisians or low-level professions.
His main color palette contains dark tones with some touches of bright colors to impact his painting and bring visitors to inetrroger on the societal conditions of the III Republic.
Some of the canvases represent the work at the mine, which echoes the culture of Flanders in particular.
