Portrait de Madame Eynard, revu par Boris Baruchet

The banker and philhellene Jean-Gabriel Eynard acquired international renown by supporting the Greek War of Independence. This exhibition presents the Eynards’ relationship to Antiquity: Alexandre Calame’s watercolors depicting their interiors are echoed by Neoclassical sculpture and furniture and other objects of Antique inspiration. Also revealed is their collection of Antique vases, which has recently been rediscovered.
