In the context of the International Museum Day, the Bank of Mauritius (Bank) informs members of the public that the Bank of Mauritius Museum, a member of the International Council of Museums, will be participating to the 2019 edition of the worldwide event.

The Bank of Mauritius Museum looks forward to welcoming visitors and helping them understand the evolution of currency in Mauritius as well as its socio-economic significance. The celebration of the International Museum Day will be an opportunity for the public to understand the role that museums play in the development of society.

The Bank of Mauritius Museum is open to the public from 09:30 to 16:00 from Mondays to Fridays except public holidays. Access to the museum will be free of charge until further notice.
