The Habitation Clément is today a vast area of 160 hectares, nestled in the commune of François, south-east of Martinique.
Exceptional site for its architectural richness and history, the Habitation Clément welcomes every year more than 150,000 visitors who come to discover this place which has preserved its original agricultural and industrial function, while developing a heritage and cultural policy that is accessible to all.
At the heart of the sugar cane and banana plantations, this unique place brings together a domestic complex classified as a historic monument, a century-old rum house and a contemporary art centre run by the Fondation Clément.

The visit of the house Clement takes place in several stages: the Creole world evoking history(story), architecture and lifestyle in Martinique thanks to the main house and its dependences(outbuildings) classified as "Historic Monument" since 1996\. Industrial heritage is emphasised as part of the old(former) distillery. The different cellars, open the doors of the world of the rum. Visit takes place in the middle of a sixteen hectare park enriched by hundred of tropical plant sorts(species) and ends with three exhibition halls of contemporary merciful art of Foundation.
