Only company to date in Martinique and the first ultramarine distillery to be honored with the State label Enterprise of Living Heritage (EPV), NEISSON, remained family and independent since its creation in 1932, invites you to discover its cultivation routes as well as the production processes of its AOC Martinique rum (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée). The EPV label makes it possible to distinguish companies anchored in their territory and holders of exceptional know-how combining tradition and innovation; 1400 French companies are currently certified.
Cross the entrance gate adorned with the emblem ship, you will wander through the organic canes hemmed with vetiver, discover the old machines, buildings with niches typical of the industries of the 30’s housing the new mills and the vats of fermentation in corked stainless steel.
Gaze at the famous Savalle all copper distillery column as well as the cellars housing the first white rums, high undergrowth and old both AOC and organic in the world.
Do not omit the only traditional square chimney still smoking, nestled near the typical red gum trees of the Caribbean coast. Enjoy Philippe Baudelocque’s wall paintings and Jean-Luc Toussaint’s metal sculptures.
