Visit in a former sugar factory of the seventeenth century, its mills, its paddle wheels, its purgerie, its stills of distillation, its boilers and its cellars, its shop inside of eight buildings completely renovated. Previously, this dwelling was known as the Survilliers sugar factory, for having been the property of Claude de Laguarigue de Survilliers born in 1668 in the island of Saint-Christophe. Driven out by the English in 1690, he took refuge in Martinique, settled at Sainte-Marie and in 1695 married Mlle Luce de La Salle. Just before the revolution, in 1786, Jacques Guillaume Seguin de La Salle bought the house that bears his name today.
