👉 Guided by our mediators, you will have the opportunity to embark on a journey to the heart of the geometric universe of Victor Vasarely. From the biography of Victor Vasarely through his experiments, his studio productions to his dream of building a foundation, the life and work of the master visual artist will have no secrets for you. On a journey of one hour, you will follow the mediators of the Foundation to discover the permanent exhibition Vasarely Plasticien. Then you will explore the monumental integrations of the father of Op Art in order to unravel the secrets of optical illusions, which will try to trap your gaze.

👉 Guided tour of the temporary exhibition «Vasarely before Op, une abstraction européenne 1945-1955»
Through this exhibition in partnership with the Centre Pompidou, you will have the opportunity to apprehend the works of Victor Vasarely and 24 other artists he frequented during his career, in particular within the framework of the Paris school and the network of artists of the Parisian gallery owner Denise René. A total of 35 exceptional works are presented at the Vasarely Foundation, by Schneider, Atlan, Dewasne, Soulages, Mortensen and Boisecq. With the lighting of our mediators, you will discover the abstract expression of French and European artists on the post-war period, and how each and everyone has appropriated abstract art.

Listed(Classified) in conformance with(for) Historic monuments on November 25th, 2013\. Having conceived(designed) by Vasarely with the collaboration of the architects Jean Sonnier, Dominique Ronsseray and Claude Pradel-Lebar, the 5.000 m2 building(ship) is an example of town planning which Foundation wants to promote. Sixteen modules on hexagonal base(basis) are overlapped in a colossal game(set,play) of construction using technology and materials favoured by modern movement.
