Observation drawing workshop
European Heritage Days

The observation drawing allows an immersion in an environment that the eye and the line restores. It establishes an intimate and instinctive relationship with what surrounds us.
Immersed in the singular universe of the art village of Chomo, this workshop will discover and perfect drawing techniques on the ground but also to establish a special link to this atypical site. By choosing different points of view (architecture, forest, sculpture, motifs, interior space, garden, etc.), we will explore in a drawn correspondence, what these places express and inspire.
The drawings made during the workshop can be exhibited on the site the same day, constituting the portrait of this exploration.

About the venue
The Village d'Art Préludien is the domain of the artist Roger Chomeaux dit Chomo (1907-1999), where he lived and created alone, for more than 40 years. It consists of its own house and three spontaneous architectures: the Refuge, the Church of the Poor, and the Sanctuary of the Burnt Woods. The Association of Friends of Chomo was created with the aim of preserving these unclassifiable works and making them known to the public.
Access: The Village d'Art Préludien is only accessible during events organized by the association. The site is accessible by car and bike, no parking on site (private carpooling from Acheres la Foret).
