The Villefranche-Vernet-les-Bains station was commissioned in 1895 by the Compagnie des Chemins de Fer du Midi et du Canal Lateral à la Garonne. It is a station of the French National Company of Railways (SNCF), which allows connections between the TER Occitanie trains of the Perpignan line and the Yellow Train of the Cerdagne line. The yellow train offers a panorama of exceptional landscapes punctuated with cultural sites, along a 63 km route, serving 21 stations in the Catalan Pyrenees.
