guided tour carnival museum

Come discover the carnival of Nice as if you were there. 500m² of works of the cultural heritage of Nice will be at your disposal during the afternoon of Friday 16 September. Miniature floats, models, banners, posters, big heads, the whole carnival universe in one place. The visit is punctuated with explanations from a professional passionate about carnival and lasts between 45 minutes and 2h (depending on whether you are talkative or not...him, yes!). The master of the place will be happy to show the traditional manufacturing methods with ecological materials (paper, clay, flour glue etc). This is an artisanal know-how that is part of the intangible cultural heritage of Nice and we intend to make you discover it in all its aspects! At the end of the visit, let yourself try wearing a big head for a souvenir photo. The museum, located in Contes (15 minutes from the centre of Nice by car), is accessible by car or coach (large parking lot) but also with the bus line 300 stop of the Gheit.
