About the location

Chapelle de Marigny
Marigny, 35133, Saint-Germain-en-Coglès
  • Ille-et-Vilaine
  • Bretagne
The last remnant of the seigneury of Marigny, this chapel belonged, during the Revolution, to the elder sister of Chateaubriant, Marie-Anne, widow of François Gefflot. In his memoirs from beyond the grave, Châteaubriant remembers his stays with his sister: "I always loved the countryside and that of Marigny was charming"
