The former rectory of Pointe-à-Pitre was to become the Centre d'interprétation de l'architecture et du patrimoine, the future Heritage House. This is one of the commitments set by the Cities and Countries of Art and History conventions. The Heritage House is a local cultural facility that aims to raise awareness, inform and train all the public, residents, tourists, schools, architecture and heritage. A permanent exhibition will be displayed as well as temporary exhibitions. The permanent exhibition will give the keys to understanding the city from the point of view of its ancient heritage as well as its contemporary architecture. Finally, educational workshops for young people will be organized.
