The small farm of Ségala where the writer Jean Boudou was born was entirely scenographed by a collective of artists gathered by Bernard Cauhapé. The visitor makes a moving, disturbing, facetious walk in the work of one of the major writers of the twentieth century. Jean Boudou, born in Crespin (Aveyron) in 1920, died in Algeria in 1975. Deeply imbued with popular culture and oral tradition, he first published tales revealing a part of the fantastic and historical imagination of Segala. The deportation to Germany, exile of a young man to the ends of evil, marks him with red iron. More than a writer of the earth, Boudou is a writer of Man. It is a fraternal and visionary voice, endowed with the intimate power to speak to each one of us.

The Jean Boudou House takes you on a discovery of the author of a work of unexpected wealth. At the heart of his native house, an original scenography unfolds in turn a tender, recreational, deep and confusing journey through the novels, tales and poems of one of the greatest writers of the Occitan language.
