Demonstration and presentation of projects designed at the National Lace Conservatory Workshop

Collection du Mobilier National, dentelle réalisée à l'Atelier conservatoire national de dentelle d'après une oeuvre d'Esther Shalev-Gerz

The National Lace Conservatory Workshop will be present at the Château de Chavaniac-Lafayette on 19 and 20 September 2020 on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.
This workshop is attached to the National Furniture and depends on the Ministry of Culture.
The projects produced at the Atelier are interpretations of works by internationally renowned artists.
You will then be able to discover some of these different projects in progress and exchange with the art technicians.
You will apprehend each stage of work: from the interpretation of the artist’s work, through the making of the map and the samples, then by the realization of the definitive lace and finally the finishing of the piece.
Art technicians will also be present to perform demonstrations.
