About the venue

182 rue Saint-Honoré 75001 Paris
  • Lieu de pouvoir, édifice judiciaire

On the territory of the former revolutionary section of the Royal Palace (May 1790), close to the Comédie Française and the Palais du Louvre, the Good Children, Ministry of Culture, rise. Assigned to the ministry in 1995, the premises were completely reworked by the architects Francis Soler & Frédéric Druot, winners of the architecture competition organized by the ministry. All major revolutionary movements, but also capital movements, have crossed this district, the headquarters of the Stock Exchange, the Bank of France, the Place Vendôme and the Rue de la Paix, making it both conservative and modern, ideal to mark the stone with a contemporary intervention. The site of the Good Children presents an architecture all in resonance. Light is the raw material of its urban structure, facades and interiors, and its mesh leads the grey skies of Paris to the ground.
