House of Heritage
In the old(former) parsonage, very beautiful house of the XVIIIth century, the House of local Heritage presents a collection of domestic and agricultural objects evoking the previous life in the campaign(countryside): old(former) kitchen utensils, utensils of washing and of ironing, old sewing machines, tools of blacksmiths, of clog makers, of winegrowers, of plowmen collection of traps, material(equipment) of firemen, some old toys and schoolchildren's books(pounds), a small pharmacy, some Gallo-Roman vestiges found on the spot, stoves(frying pans) in cast iron...

About the venue
The Gallo-Roman vestiges narrate the ancient history(old story) of the municipality of Monthureux-sur-Saône, the church Saint-Michel testifies the priory built in these places. In the bases of the feudal castle, several cavities are still visible: at the foot of the castle small troglodyte houses hurried up.
