The church St Nicholas' Day is based(established) by 1540 in Dompaire. She(It) becomes parish church instead of the church Saint-Jean-Baptiste of Laviéville, dilapidated and too cramped. The church St Nicholas' Day is rebuilt in the XIXth century. It possesses remarkable stained-glass windows, images of the Way of the Cross(long, hard way), realised by the master glazier Gabriel Loire.
